I have to thank my Granny for my drive to make stuff. She made all sorts of things from sculptures to clothing by upscaling or reusing what she had. She was an accomplished seamstress and would periodically use leftover fabric to make placemats and rugs. She would then sell her creations at fairs and fundraisers for her church or the local volunteer fire department. I still have several of her woven pieces in my house and smile when I spot them in the homes of relatives.
I see her creations every day and that always sparks a memory. I want to do the same with my porcelain prints: make things that last, evoke memories and help support local charities. This page will soon (hopefully) feature the prints I’m making to help local charities in the Brazos Valley…and beyond. Stay Tuned.
